Cache Valley Residence

This project aims to create a harmonious and immersive landscape design that seamlessly integrates the natural beauty of the surrounding valley with carefully curated elements. At its centerpiece, a large infinity edge reflecting pool captivates both the eye and the soul, offering breathtaking views of the expansive valley from within the home. A private side courtyard, adorned with a soothing waterfall backdrop, provides a tranquil retreat for contemplation and relaxation. The landscape is strategically divided into two main axes: the formal East/West axis, characterized by lush lawns and the reflective pool, serves as a serene connector threading through the house, while the natural North/South axis, featuring a meandering stream and canyon, provides a more organic and immersive experience. Nestled within this landscape are designated areas for social gatherings and contemplative moments, including a spacious fireplace seating area offering panoramic views of the valley to the West, and a smaller, intimate fire pit tucked away to the East for a more private and reflective ambiance. Through careful berming techniques, the landscape design aims to sculpt the terrain, creating visual interest and enhancing the overall sense of tranquility and seclusion.
