Beacon Pointe Community Plan
Beacon Pointe Community Plan is a comprehensive land use plan that provides the overall framework and design guidelines for a 370-acre new community in Saratoga Springs, Utah. The Plan anticipates a variety of villages linked together through open space, dedicated trails and walkable streets. The villages will serve diverse demographics and lifestyles through the provision of multiple housing types and price points. Unique features of the plan include Founder’s Boulevard, a 15-acre community park, neighborhood parks, trail network, a middle school, and multi-functional detention basins. Founder’s Boulevard is the principal organizing street of the plan and is aligned on axis with the Saratoga Springs LDS Temple which will located on a high point in the community. The boulevard is a multi-way street that provides through-lanes and planting medians down the center and local slip lanes along each side. The slip lanes include on-street parking and provide a double row of street trees which accentuates the boulevard character. The Plan provides for a variety housing types including single-family homes, condominiums and apartments and configurations such as green courts and drive courts. Design guidelines addressing community character, street-friendly housing types and styles, streetscapes, and open space are also included in the plan.
