The Island at Oquirrh Lake

The Island at Oquirrh Lake is the premiere residential neighborhood in the Daybreak new community in South Jordan, Utah.  The Island parks and open space system is designed to connect residents of the neighborhood with the lake and to provide for a variety of experiences and activities.  A comprehensive trail system rings The Island and connects via footbridges and vehicular bridges to the greater Daybreak trails network.  The parks include gathering and seating areas, picnic areas, pavilions, paddleboard launch points, and sandy beaches. Permanent hammocks are located on a hillside overlooking the lake – perfect for soaking in spectacular sunsets, taking an afternoon nap or reading a book.  A floating boardwalk, complete with Adirondack chairs and open cargo netting suspended above the water, accommodates sunbathing, relaxation, fishing and boating.
