Village Park
Village Park is a small neighborhood park located in a new village at Daybreak. The park reflects the industrial character of the adjacent Bingham Copper Mine through the creative use of concrete infrastructure pieces as park architecture. A concrete water pipe leads pedestrians through a large earthen hill on one corner into the park. The pipe will have holes drilled into the top side of the pipe to allow light and air into the pipe and to create interesting light patterns on the walls of the pipe. The hill shields the park from loud and busy traffic. Concrete archways form the park pavilion and provide shade for gatherings and picnics. An informal play lawn provides a place to lay in the sun, throw a ball or a Frisbee or organize informal neighborhood games.
